Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ** The truck Chevrolet should have built.

looking back on your cab fabrication is there anything significantly differant you would of done? I'm still trying to decide on my 68 k20 whether to stick to swb standard cab or build the crew cab as you did.

I wouldn't change a thing. Take the time to fit the doors before you paint to verify you like all the body lines. My rear door never fit well from the factory and I could have corrected 40 year old problems, but I didn't.

Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ** The truck Chevrolet should have built.

Yippee!!!

I just got Frankie back and man is this headliner sweet!! He ended up making all sorts of parts to cover A, B, and C pillars plus he rebuilt my spare sunvisors and covered them. I kept the black ones since they were so perfect.

It really is stunning, and the best part....... $450 bucks! I tipped him another $50, just because.

Very nice. He did great work for you in a pretty short amount of time.

Every interior shop I have ever dealt with has measured project timelines in months not days or weeks. Good job finding somebody who does nice work fairly quickly.

The material from Italy was pricey, but so rich looking.

Very short considering he is sick.

Yeah, I'm sick though that by the time I have another car for him he'll be retired.

Good luck keep it away from you daughter. The pics say "One day this will all be mine!"

My daughter is pointing out the things she wants to take in the future. She's getting some "Uh, no. that's mine." answers. I get the "look." She may win after all.

I wish I could, but if it's not job related, I'm staying close to the house these days, I guess I'll just have to wait till you head east with it...........

Your truck keeps me looking for the perfect one to buy and fix up. Frankenstein is turning out perfect. Great work Thanks for the ministry that you do also.

Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ** The truck Chevrolet should have built.

Progress is progress, even though its not much. I installed the fuse box cover after a little trimming, and I made carpeted covers for my kick panels from extra pieces leftover from the Suburban carpet kit. I also spent a little time hiding some more of my wiring spaghetti mess. The key switch is mounted too.

Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ** The truck Chevrolet should have built.

Always impressive work!

A local shop did my Pro-Street 55 Belair using this same suede material including the visors. I really like this as a headliner material. You will continue to love it as time goes on.

Only down side is everyone will want to touch it as it is so soft. Then you get to brush it to remove all the finger marks.

Since you're in Bartlett, I'm sure you know about the Cruise In on Thursday nights. I'll try to get there before I leave for the Power Tour. (May 31, Thursday)
