Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs

Long long time lurker... Just picked this up on Friday. Shall get more pictures soon.

1989 2wd CC dually
454 BB (I finally understand why these trucks came with dual tanks... dear lord)
111 Miles
Full load for the day
Originally from Cali. Original window sticker and bill of sale in the glove box.

Been here in Canada for about 5-6 years I think the guy said. Bought it for the body. No rust any where on this truck. The odd patch of surface rust on the frame and some paint blemish's. I couldn't buy a truck like this and import it into Canada for anything less then 8k and thats even bore i attempt patching corners/rocker/etc. I prob paid a little on the high side of it... but it think it will pay it self off later

Going to DD it for the rest of the summer/fall, soon as the snow flies i'll pick up a 94+ cummins.

Pending shop space next spring/fall cummins will be swapped in with bags on the front.

Eventual SAS among other thing to make it suitable for DD driving here.

Ha thank you very much... My fuel bill is killing me right now, but you gotta pay to play.

Funny you should mention those wheels. My original plan was to get rid of the duals but those wheels have single handly convinced me to keep them

Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs

Ah .... the wheels. I've been searching for a spare for a year now. Nothing turns up on the used market for some reason. I've got them on my crew.

As for the fuel ... I've added a 50 gal. auxlry. fuel tank to my bed. I guess that's why it sits in the driveway so much.

I'm looking into have them polished up right now... there is a shop here in town with an automatic polishing machine that do semi rims... and they come out GOOD!!

I suspect my spare tire is just a steel rim (yah i still have the original spare) I just haven't crawled under neath yet

Surprising how a truck from 89 can have nicer rims then todays trucks...
