Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds
I would too if closer. Looks like an interesting truck. Advertised as a K30, which they didn't make unless it was a conversion truck - and some of the drw's were. I can't quite see the fender emblems - looks like a 20, but who knows. So, not sure. Either way - very cool truck and the body seems decent for what it is. Cab corners will need attn. Let us know what you find out (after you buy it)
EDIT: btw, heard from the seller on a SPID request, seems like a nice guy, and he responds which is a bonus. I DOoooo wish this was closer. Kind of a cool truck. Here's the SPID - it is a K20 (although that "K" is a little fishy but assume legit), I'd love to jump on it, but, the tyranny of distance and all that crap. Boo. I am curious how it got to where it is on the driveline. Cab was born on a K20, but not a DRW, and as a pickup with a bed. So, either a cab transplant onto a DRW chassis (which I believe would have been 1 ton and no K30s were available from the factory back then.. Could be a conversion truck perhaps - and wouldn't a 69 have Warn hubs?) or a DRW axle was added and the bed tossed along the way (if I were a bettin man..) Anyway, cool truck. I just saw this alert on Craigslist for a stolen truck in Ohio. I felt it was worth sharing.

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds
Full set K20 PO3 caps (+) 3x 8 lug wheels (+) spare carrier: $250 (or offer...)(ebay).
Caps looks pretty nice, good deal if you need the wheels too or just want a couple spares - I grab originals when I can, but these just aren't close enough! I'd want to see what the unshown part of the caps look like first though. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1972-Chevy-...Vae8lb&vxp=mtr |

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds
That leads me to an interesting question. What is the best part of the country to look for a truck? Ive been looking in the southwest. Arizona, New Mexico, and SoCal. I never considered the northwest

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds
Good question and good answer. The natural assumption is that "south" is good - and, in comparison to "north", it is. But I have to say it also depends what you're looking for. For me, in the never-ending hunt for that elusive K20 Custom Camper with cab lights, I find that the majority of K's are in the pacific northwest, specifically WA and OR. If I want a swb 2WD, there are a lot in socal, and everywhere for that matter, but the K's seem clustered up in the northwest - i.e. where 4WD was needed and used (that is the key to where to look for what you want - figure out where it most likely would have been used). That's the down side, generally speaking, they HAVE been used, a lot. But still, I'd save a lot on shipping if I'd just move there.
Oh, and Sacramento. It's FULL of good stuff. Unbelievable how many nice examples I've found in that one city. Granted, it's a BIG city, but still... |

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds
72 C30 dually BBC $7500! I don't know if it is as rare as claimed, but cool nevertheless.
https://portland.craigslist.org/clc/...496266903.html I have a 1972 Chevrolet Cheyenne Super 30 custom camper dually flatbed with extended wheel base 70,000 original miles 402 Big Block v8 Quadrajet 4bbl carb HEI distributer Pushes about 400hp Turbo 400 3 speed automatic Tilt steering Power brakes/steering A/C Exterior cab lights This is a reliable truck that I have been using as a daily driver. There is no rust and the frame rails are straight with no cracks. No knocks or taps, smokes the tires in all 3 gears. I wanted to make a low rider out of it and eventually drag race it. I have a pair of 20 inch wide deep dish slick rims i'll throw in. I was planning on replacing the dually tires with 2 super wide racing slicks. If I had a choice I would keep this truck for the rest of my life but since I lost my job I'm going to lose my house if i don't sell it. I have the title in hand I'm the second owner. This is a investment opportunity. One thing these newer trucks will never be is a classic. If you wanted to do a complete restoration this truck would be worth upwards of $40,000 or more. Everything on this truck is Original nothing has been swapped and if you look at the odometer you will notice that the numbers are perfectly in line with each other because it has not been tampered with. That is how you can tell it has not rolled over or been rolled back. Super 30 is the super sport of the classic Chevy trucks. C10's, C20's, and C30 chevys are way more common and easier to find and very few came with the big block. This particular truck is so rare I challenge you to find one the same. Call, text, or email me any time the price is negotiable and I might be willing to take a partial trade. Thanks,
