Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Trucks
I think it would be cool as %&^ell , There is something similiar in one of the current truck magazines right now , I think you need to shorten the rear overhang for sure, maybe lengthen the wheelbase from what you have showing ..... I say DO IT.....! Last edited by ksbrktracer; 09-23-2010 at 04:29 PM. |

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Trucks
Yep I have a 6 cylinder and an extra chassis that I could make really short and slam it into the weeds, a rusty cab for the cowl area, windshield and gauges, hack the roof off, then take about 20 inches off the back, weld it back on at a steep angle like an old Caddy - I think some people won't like it, but it will get some attention.
I might be crazy - I still don't know |

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Trucks
Here's a project truck I've had for 18 years just parked in the barn. I decided to build it last year and here it is. It went from a hay hauler to a fun toy in 90days.

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Trucks
Had accumulated many parts left over from previous projects and used the best of what I had. I stripped it to bare frame and went at it like my wife say's "possessed". I had recently totalled a matching truck and didn't want anyone to know. It was a color change so I had to be real secretive. This truck was origionally light green with a dark green top and labeled for years the "Lizard". I bought it for $200 back in 92 with a oldsmobile 455 in it. Looked like the origional owner hit every gate post he went through.Had many late nights and quite a few cold beers.

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Trucks
Hello to everyone. I am new and from NE Oklahoma area.
This is my little 72 SWB, 355/350, working factory A/C. I traded for this truck just a few weeks ago. I grew up with a 72 LWB, so this brings alot of memories back from the younger years... Here is a pic of the exterior and I will get some other pics later... I have a brand new factory crate LS6 that is going in it in a few weeks, and going to put in some 4.11 gears in the rear and hope the little 12 bolt hold up. lol The motor is rated at 405 HP out of the box.... Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Trucks
Thanks for the welcome. Give me some advice on dropping the stance a little. It has factory leafs in the rear.
Also I am wanting to go to a cowl hood and I am still undecided on what to do about trim and fender emblems. The holes are still on the back of the cab where the trim goes and I am looking for some nice looking aftermarket emblems for the fenders.... |

My 1969 C10 drag radial/stock suspension truck. We are building a street version of this same truck for my son's first truck.
