Re: What Did You Do With Your Truck Today ?

Nothin, but went to the hospital today to see this little gomer. Daughter went into labor yesterday evening, got to hospital at 12:50PM, couldn't pee in the cup so nurse took a look, saw the top of his head and all heck broke loose, he came out at 1:03AM (13 minutes later, almost in the hallway). Didn't have time for any drugs, etc. just two good pushes. Cool thing is 19 years ago I designed the Labor and Delivery and Post Partum Suites at the hospital where he was born and her best friend is a nurse there and helped out with the delivery. Mom and son are doing fine.

Glad everything went well. My wife is a labor and delivery nurse that happens more often then people think. Scary sometimes

Congrats there OrrieG. Nothing like having Grandchildren. We just kept our 2 and 4 year old for a week and I couldn't keep them out of the truck ( not that I wanted to.)

Cute picture and kids. That little red head is going to be a handful when she gets older, I know that look! When I was a young man I dated a redhead for a year or so and she would get behind the wheel of my 57 truck with that same look.

Burnt out my ign switch on the highway (3 miles from home) and had a AAA tow. rewired the three wires from the fuse box and the one from the starter, added a new switch (same model) and now it runs fine!!! till the next time?

I would be checking out the rest of the wiring too. I had the same issue back in the boonies, wire between the switch and starter shorted. I burned the heck out of my hand jerking the smoking wires out from under the dash. has to use a section of the rear taillight harness to hot wire it up to get home, no AAA in the wilderness.

Re: What Did You Do With Your Truck Today ?

Well, I didn't do this today, but I did on Friday and Saturday. Went to the Mid-American Nats in Springfield, MO from West Plains, MO. My wife has MS so I can't stay overnight, have to return home each day. Ladies from the church stayed with her while I was gone. Friday morning miles were 20,381, Friday evening miles were 20,662 for 281 round trip. Saturday morning miles were 20, 662 and Saturday evening miles were 20, 944 for 282 miles round trip. Averaged out at 16.5 miles per gallon running 70 mph. Did have rain both days, but still a good show, heres the odometer pics...Jim
