Re: 72 Cheyenne Super Plain Jane

Okay so here are some better pictures of what has been done thus far. The LF fender is just sitting on there, it hasn't been aligned or tightened down. I think the gaps on the door look OK????? Not really sure what they are supposed to look like. What do you guys think?

Sending the door panel inserts off to be re-finished soon. Also trying to talk my dad into letting me buy this NOS heater control off of him.

Re: 72 Cheyenne Super Plain Jane

I'm really glad with how it turned out. This wasn't an original headliner truck and I think it looks about as good as any truck that came with headliner. I gotta drill some holes for lower trim and then I'll be sending her off to paint. Gonna order my wheels from intro tomorrow. Intro Vintage wheels, 22x10's out back with 4" of BS and 20x8s out front with 5.5 of BS

Thanks man. I placed my order with Intro today. Just got the rears. 22x10 with 4" of BS. I got just the recessed area brushed and the rest of the wheel will be polished. They told me it should be 4-6 weeks before I have them at my door step. I can't wait

Re: 72 Cheyenne Super Plain Jane

I'm one of those matching brand guys and once i'm on one side I'm stuck there I know that Holleys are more popular on these old blocks but I just like my Edelbrock stuff. Paint looks killer can't wait to see the outside done too I'm sure you're chompin at the bit as well

Re: 72 Cheyenne Super Plain Jane

Barely an update but I think I got an early LS6 motor for an early christmas present. Soooooo the 350 might get pulled out and replaced with a big block. I think its a 496, 4 bolt main, rectangular port heads, beast of a motor. If I can't fit it without cutting the firewall then I'll go with a fuel injected LS motor eventually but leave the 350 for now. Waiting on the wheels and tires to come in, wheels aren't gonna be until thanksgiving. Tires are Nitto 285/40/22s
