There is a 6 cylinder truck just like it that is really tuff! Last of my research on it on found out that it runs nitrous. Now dont go crazy until you here this. It runs nitrous a full quarter mile! Thats amazing! It starts at 10 percent nitrous and in 1.5 seconds goes to 100 percent! AND to top it off, stays at 100 percent a full quarter mile!YEEEEEEEEHAAAAAW!.
Anyway I just thought that was really cool. |

T.J. what do I win if your correct? Yes it is a 500, they are the smallest in the Edelbrock line I was going to jet it down. But it runs well right out of the box so I didn't change them but I'm not racing it anyway. Anyone else out there running a 500 cfm 1404 on their inline. I would be curious to know if they were satisfied with it or if not. I would really like a pair of Webber's on it but they cost to much $$ for my retirement income...Vernski

My first guess was that's the blower off of a late 90's Pontiac GTP 3800 or similar, but the "3.8" on the lid sort of looks like it's off of the supercharged 3.8 used in Ford Thunderbirds. Sweet project either way though.

Here is the color scheme he decided on. I posted them in his build thread, but figured I would add them here too. They are Duplicolor high temp Forest Green and Cast Iron Gray. Not going to get any assembly done this weekend, but next weekend, we will.
I got some new economy pushrod covers. Not thinking they are going to hold up real well though! |

T.J. hey I won again, of course it's sitting on there backwards that's why you can't find the Edelbrock name you have to look on the other side of the carb. Now before you get your Hanes in a knot about it being on there backwards and not right. It just don't make any difference because the Clifford intake has a open plentium, so it doesn't matter if the secondaries are forward, backward or sideways. It runs just fine for this old retired truck driver, I'm posting some pic's of the linkage, another reason it's the way it is, as Paul Harvey would say...Vernski

Good quality headers are Tom Langdon's stovebolt cast iron headers(short). I would say they are "higher" quality. Clifford performance makes short and long tube headers(shown below are my short tube headers from clifford.) I would personally prefer short tube header because they can fit in tighter spaces and you have a better choice of exhaust route. Headmen make a set of headers for the chevy 6, but they are very poor quality. Hope this helps. T.J.
