I thought you could just click the link and look. Maybe I'm wrong with different privacy settings.

Re: What did you do to your Blazer/Jimmy today?
Thanks. No, not led. They are the same bulbs that are in the dashboard. Got them from a truck stop. But I have seen them at regular auto Parts stores too. I used angle iron welded to the core support crossmember to mount the grill lights. I had two more at the ends of the bumper but I crushed one against a tree and couldn't find the right same one to replaced it with so I just pulled the other one off the other end.

Re: What did you do to your Blazer/Jimmy today?
No problem there if you do. They work great and are out of the way. With the aluminum mesh grill insert it doesn't block a lot of the light from behind there either. It would still work good with a standard grill but the thickness of the plastic would block more of the light from coming through I'm guessing.

Did you use the stock AC mount? If so how close is the frame? Photo is you have a minute would be great.
I like the red covers!

That roll bar looks great. Your truck looks pretty clean as well. Good job.

Re: What did you do to your Blazer/Jimmy today?
Pull the interior and got drivers side body mounts replaced. Passenger side today and put the interior back in. Wish I had my seats back from the upholstery shop to do it all at once.

Installed my hoist in the garage today and tested it out. Plan to start building the top frame this week.
BTW I just picked up this top and it needs new hardware if you have suggestions on where to buy please let me know. |

Re: What did you do to your Blazer/Jimmy today?
Did not like the 13" steering wheel that came on the Blazer when I bought it and the OEM one I had was in really bad shape so I put a 15" Comfort Grip Steering Wheel on and I really like it.

Re: What did you do to your Blazer/Jimmy today?
Also Installed a Retro Sound Model Two Radio and some front and rear speakers. For the rear I went with the Custom Auto Sounds Undercover II speakers because the interior panels are in such good shape I did not want to cut them and put a 6x9 in. So I had to make some brackets that slid behind the factory panel and allowed me to connect the speaker to it. Worked out pretty good (so far so good). I would recommend this stereo to others that are thinking about upgrading their radio it has pretty good sound.
I forgot how nice it is having a stereo when you are driving around, LOL. The Bluetooth feature is really nice too. |
