Yes they are. Me and my family appreciate the prayers. Its been a long week, feels like a year. But thankfully I've got my hobbies to keep me occupied, I think that's something he'd want me to do.

Thank you. Its been a long time coming, we knew we wouldn't have a normal life expectancy, but never easy when it comes time. Thankfully we've got friends, family and hobbies to keep us occupied and getting along.

Some faux-tina stuff here. I used my opposing door as a guide for where typical patina marks would be. Of course, arm on door spots, some sun baking through the vent window, worn away area below the vent window latch, speaker grille wear was my idea, I figured a OE truck (if these were actually put in them) speaker grille would have some paint separation on the grilles of it. Then the hand rest on the upper window frame area, and the grab section on the rear part of the window frame.

Sorry to hear the news of your Father passing. I lost my Father three years ago this August after having lived with my family for the prior 8 years. He had dementia, which is also somewhat difficult to deal with. He just reached a point where physically he looked like my Dad, but mentally he was not. I miss him.

Truck is looking fantastic - mine is still down - waiting for a steering column to replace my stock one. Late =( should have been here two weeks ago, and no idea really, when it will ship. Supply issues stink. Keep up the awesome work - still plan to come check it our when mine is back running.

I really really like those speaker grills in the doors. If my doors weren't together and finished I might actually go and do that on mine. Looks so clean and looks absolutely stock

Im sorry to hear that man. Dementia is terrible. Ive had customers with it, its terrible. I suppose we are all lucky for the time we get, no matter the difficulty during, me and my family all still say if we had to do it again we would.
Hopefully you get that column in! I know how frustrating it can be to wait on parts. A week can feel like eternity.

I appreciate it! I think they came out well. I was concerned on how well they'd come out and they far exceeded my hopes.
Thank you for the kind words. The last few years certainly were a blessing, they taught me a lot. Im 27, so I dont have many friends in a similar boat, so it can be tough at times to navigate. I get a lot of enjoyment from this project, no matter how difficult it sometimes gets, at the end of the day I find myself fulfilled. I dont think many people feel that same sense of accomplishment at the end of the day, and it helps immensely with the situation.

Passenger side door MOUNTED. Feels good. Last time it will go on (fingers crossed). Just have to patina match the bottom but that'll be a breeze.
Regulator in, vent window in, window glass in, and all hardware mounted. Even tossed on one of the GM Mark of Excellence badges, where I think they would have installed them, based off of Camaros and such I see online with them. The door fits well, sound deadened so it sounds solid, and just the right weight, it just falls shut with those Altman Easy Latches. I will have a local upholstery shop make me some one off door panels in a complimentary pattern like the seats. Only thing Im not too pleased on is the door felt on the outside, the clip broke. I have it glued on for now (hence the orange pic tools holding it in place), will decide if I want to go buy another set or just run it and call it a truck. Getting there !

Go for it! Really like the look of them. This is the 67-68 color, the laters were a darker blue.

Last thing before vacation, took the factory 283 air cleaner housing and did some dimple die work. Saw someone else do this once, really liked how theirs came out. So, I decided why not do mine. More air flow too!

Another n2billet idea - dimple dies on the hood supports. He did same size throughout, I decided to do small-medium-small-medium. Came out pretty good. This hood is like a big cookie sheet, so Im going to add a cross support to square everything up. Im obviously a big fan of dimple dies now!

Air cleaner continuation.... this assembly was for the 2 barrel that came on the old 283, so I took a spare riser, chopped it to 1 5/16 and welded it in place to fit. Came out nice and low profile.

Diving in with both feet on this one. Cutting up the driver's side door. Hoping what I learned from the passenger side allows this to go easier, but this one is a tad bit crustier. And I'll get to enjoy the heat and humidity of summer as well

Appreciate it! Still debating if I will paint the underside of the hood or just do some sort of rust treatment. Honestly the underside looks good as it is, just worried about all that rust flaking getting worse and in return getting everywhere underhood. I was also quite concerned about air filter availability with that air cleaner, as no parts houses can get me one. So I ordered 5 off RockAuto

Finally got around to sandblasting and painting the grill inserts this past weekend, came out awesome. Really like this white, should look good on the roof.

Dry ice trick again - it really removes this old sound deadener very quickly. Had to go about 40 minutes away to pick some up so I was determined to do this yesterday. Just have to clean it all up and knock down all the surface rust in there to lay down some POR15.

Always enjoy taking it outside, I really am digging the ride height. Will eventually be on bags and Porterbuilt. But always helps to literally see it in a different light!

Not truck related, but a cool find local to me - a (pretty much) new, early 70s, Craftsman v-logo box set. Even has the original brochure. Guy said someone he knew bought it, never used it, and now its mine! Will go well with my old Snap On body hammer set.
