hm.......well we do live in Texas where a truck is needed, now our choices on dropping them and slamming then are different but yeah in Texas we need our trucks.

I think it's a blood thing, your born with one manufacter you prefer above all else. Either GM (chevy, gmc), Ford, or Dodge, that's just my personal opinion.

I can't wait to see those badges there going to look awesome man!!!

When I lived over in red oak (around waxahachie area) Everyone and their mom had a liftedddddd truck, there were the few, and the proud that were lowered

The reason I love Chevy is because I grew up working on them and in the 80's most Chevy parts fit a crap load of models. I mean I had a 73 Blazer with a 350 in it and I figured out quickly that I could slap a 402BB in and bolt right up to the trans, I was hooked...I did own a 72 Mustang fastback that I totaled, and 71 Nova that my little brother totaled....I miss both those cars. When I started racing cars around we would jack the back up a bit to put larger tires on the back...

I have to admit a Chevelle and Nova are meant to have done nice fat rubber on the back!

Man I rode by last Wednesday and my truck is still in the same spot where I left it

I am planning on going by there Friday and hoping they at least have started on it! It may be true what McCoyAZ told me. 6-8 weeks at a paint shop actually means 4-6 months....

That is how my truck has turned out. My cab and bed have been there since March and just now getting started on it. Hopefully yours doesn't take that long.

I hate to say it and trust me that I lived through it and was not at all happy about it.

The more you bug them the more annoyed they get and then you pay for it with a crappy job.

The only tool you have is your check book.

Pay them like they work on your truck. The longer it takes to get it done....the longer it takes for them to be paid.

Haha, I actually don't stop at the shop so I haven't bothered them yet!

I just drive past it and see my truck in the same spot with the same old brown paint! I paid approx. 50% down in cash with the hopes that he would get started early.....My plan didn't work

So I rode with a buddy of mine to the paint shop to get an estimate on his 64 Impala. The guy told me that a bay cleared out and my truck would begin tear down Monday! Super excited

Well I made it by the paint shop Thursday and got a couple progress pics. Friday they were finishing up the ding repair and getting ready to take the truck apart to start block sanding. Hopefully I can get more pics this Friday.
