I remember that truck from a few years ago. She's a beauty.

Re: original (not modified) truck pics
How about a not so nice very close to original? Still has original 283 with oil bath breather listed is the SPID. Original steering wheel and interior stuff except someone has installed a seat from about a 1990 Chevy. Comfy but I may go back to an original in time.
Still had the dealer installed rear bumper from the very town I live in. Not sure when the dealership went out but it was a long time ago.

Re: original (not modified) truck pics
I read that a wood bed was an option over metal in ' 72. Were all wood beds always painted truck color (wood & strips)?
Edit: I found the answer in this thread http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...ight=wood+beds . Constantly amazed & refreshed by all the knowledge here on this forum - THANKS!

Re: original (not modified) truck pics
This is a photo of my 71 GMC sitting behind Globe furniture store in LaGrande Oregon. The stores two partners bought it and an identical twin to it but Z3/4 ton four speed, mine is 1/2 automatic. Other then the aftermarket mirrors and missing hubcap it all original. With a rebuild of the carb and HEI install it runs amazingly well. Wishing everyone a merry Christmas..

Re: original (not modified) truck pics
54blackhornet,
is the 3/4 ton still around also? I have seen one like yours on cricket flat or is that yours I've seen? I love that it still has the company logo.... My 71 C20 was also owned by a furniture store in La Grande, but PO had painted over the name. Mine is a chevy and was originally ochre and white.

Re: original (not modified) truck pics
Thanks Joe!
I was fortunate to come across it. I had been looking for an older original truck for quite some time. It came from Banning California, near Riverside. Was set up with a slide in camper since new and was rarely used which accounts for the condition. I have a few interesting cars but nothing is as much fun as this truck. I’m so glad I got it. It’s an amazing driver as well... 67-72s forever !

Re: original (not modified) truck pics
Great truck! I love painted bumpers and grilles on K models. With the tall skinny mud & snows it's perfect.
