Re: How about some pics of '73-'91 Crew Cab Short beds?

Do you know appx. how much drop you ended up with?

Also, what size tires are those? I read the last few pages of your thread and it mentioned 255/70-15; wondering if those in the picture are that size. They fill the wells nicely.

Truck has a good stance!

Thanks man!
I don't know for sure how much drop I got.
It has 3" spindles on the front and one coil plus cut off the springs.
I swapped to 56" springs in the rear with 5 leaves at the same time I did the flip. The 88-98 diff has slightly taller spring perches.
The frame was only 1-1 1/2" above the axle tubes so I flipped the rear spring hanger upside down and raised the reab back up @ 2 inches to get it where it is now. I still need to cut the front bump stops down and put some notches in the rear so it won't bottom out so easily. Down the road I'm either going to bag it or convert to 4x4....I haven't decided yet
Maybe I'll run across a 4x4 crew for cheap before that though, fingers crossed

Tire size?

With the 3" spindles, how much did you have to trim off the LCA's to get the 8" rally's to clear? I have removed more material than I am comfortable with on one side already and as I was finished with that side (so I thought), I relized when I put weight on the front wheels the LCA will probably make contact again.
So I need to put the jacks under the the LCA's to simulate it being on the ground and see if I need to remove more material.
I have chrome rally's and was hoping to run the weights on the inside but I don't think that is possible now.

Mine is flipped in the back also and without the bed on the truck and no shocks, I can bounce up and down on the frame and get it to hit the axle.
So a notch is going to be put on before I install the bed.

Oh, sorry
255/70/15 all around
As for the lower arms, I'm not sure. The spindles were on the truck already. I can take some pics of the lower arms if that might be helpful.
