Very good just take your time . The Header fits pretty snug so any seals installed under the header will work fine so making it sit as low as possible is the best fit you can get . Good luck and happy building can't wait for more pictures .

That looks great. I put a soft topper on my 71 as well. When the front windows are rolled all the way up, does yours have a gap of about 1" from the top of glass to the fabric of the top?

Re: Softop installation no Holes

Yes close to that . I've been working out a way to close that gap with a peice of 4" black abs pipe, cut a strip out length wise (about 1/3 of the abs pipe) to attach to the fwd mounting position would be the top of the windshield post and the other at the aft of the window but mounted perhaps off the roll bar and poles from the softopper mounting hardware . If some put their talents together you could probably seal the hole window with little effort making you Blazer essentially leak proof and I don't know about you but I like that idea.
2nd note
I have a good head start on a redesigned pop up camper for my 1st gen Blazer . I hope to be showing it off to you this coming summer

Does anyone have a picture of the header with a bikini top? I am thinking about buying a header for a bikini top.

Re: Softop installation no Holes

Yes the pop up I'm building keeps the roll bar installation intack and it utilizes the Headers I produce to add support . The whole unit is sumbrella and the pop up will have to same look as the original popups. I have the top frame section section finished just need to finish the supports over the quarter panels and then start sewing the sumbrella and windows in. My version will gain access to the pop up straight up from the drivers seat and passenger seat. Don't want to sell the farm completely just so hope to get busy on it on the next couple weeks if the weather permits LOL .

Do you have to drill both holes or will the hole that holds the L-bracket be enough support. Thanks Mickey Name: Header.jpg

Re: Softop installation no Holes

Also do you use button head bolts for the sun visor holes. If so do they eventually wear into the soft topper fabric. Thanks again Mickey

Re: Softop installation no Holes

Please don't get discouraged. A lot of us still want them and are just hoping to find the funds. I was saving to get a hood but I cannot find one. Maybe I should just pull the trigger on this as you seem to be discontinuing the product. Reviews seem to be good and it appears to be a quality piece that not everyone would recognize. Truly custom. Hmm.

Ive removed the bickering here. it needs to stop. Taxidermist youre new here this kind of stuff will get you banned and Robs71k5 if youre selling parts here regularly you need to be a vendor. Ive forwarded this to the parties that handle this if there is any more garbage posting threads locked suspensions handed out

Re: Softop installation no Holes

Thanks for removing the stain. As for the being a vendor here I think not . And it has proven itself throughout this board as an excepted form of moving parts and have whitnessed on many occasions with other parts being offered in the same fashion . My position is merely one of middle man . Yes I designed and built the mold for a one off part solely for use on my truck. I presented photos of my truck here as proof of concept and was congratulated with many questions to supply more , much to my surprise. I had and still have not the facilities for this production so I have been getting them built individually from a local fiberglass shop . I merely provide the info to the shop . The shop employs a experienced diabetic person from the street to built them but this person has recently lost a leg to his disease. I had no idea these parts would be as popular as they have become . If this board finds this arrangement in contrast to its rules I shall only be to happy to comply and move this site to a more fitting environment such as EBay where I would be forced to step up production or just pack it in all together I shall not take any further orders until this has been resolved Thanks

I have one I purchased when robs71k5 first started making them. Still new, never installed I'm considering letting it go since I wont be running a soft top anymore.
