Re: purgatorio
The intake manifold did not perform as expected. I wanted a different “top” to the manifold, something more visually appealing is what I had in mind. They sent me an email with their new design... the intake design I have. I said I did not like it but if it will perform and reach those number we are shooting for then whatever works. My fault there, this manifold failed. The motorman has had the carbon xr, a Wilson with short runners on this set up as well as the stock ls7 gm manifold.
I know the carbon xr is in its own league, but for this manifold to perform slightly better than the stock ls7 plastic intake is heart breaking to me. I wish I found someone tha wanted to buy it id get rid of it in a heart beat. It’s a HOGANS Intake, they got it to me quickly that’s the only good thing about it.

Re: purgatorio
Trying different Intake. This is a 4500 series Intake. Motor man used a 4150 Intake on a 427, that motor had .5 more compression than mine and made 622 torque and 824 hp.
My motor has 75 more cubes, 4500 series Intake with dominator tb. Bigger cam to support the cubes Any guesses on tq/hp?

Re: purgatorio
Made 855hp before dyno went out. Motor man said there was still 4 degrees timing to go. Will get new numbers and tq numbers too on Monday hopefully. Also waiting on valve covers. Billet specialties didn’t work. Wegner covers don’t work. Ring brothers as well don’t work, wegner makes them for ring brothers .

Yea my pockets hate me, 🤦🏿*♂️ I don’t need all that power, but, when the outside looks like it looks, you pop the hood and it’s not equally as impressive...

Re: purgatorio
Did you ship the engine to N H for the build or just the Dyno?

Re: purgatorio
Let the magic begin, motor tranny install, headers and exhaust, shockwave install chassis reinforcement and powdercoat, custom fabricated dash and console.

Re: purgatorio
Yes sir, back as well, he suggested doing shockwaves and changing the rear set up because the back half won’t hold up to all that power.
