What's getting painted? The rendering out on your site shows the same paint staying the same...did you guys decide to go a different route or are you only talking about the roller?

Thanks,

All of the major work and fabrication is near complete. It still has a ways to go though.

Nate just finished the gas strut hood hinges. You can see the video of those on the webpage or the thread in the suspension page.

The frame will get body worked an painted and and all the PB components will get powdercoated.

Then the final assembly with all the small details to get done. brake lines, fuel cell, wiring. rearend rebuild, wood bed floor, accuair elevel wiring and plumbing, all the motor details, drive shafts, and possibly some other small surprises thrown in as well.

Nate has used my truck to R&D a line of New Products for Porterbuilti for 2010.

We hope to have it done this year so stay tuned to the build thread as Nate up dates progress and PICs as things move along.

Re: Project "Old Aux"

Just out of curiousity, what did you all ever decide with the bed floor? Did you cut a hole or leave it in one piece?

Bed Floor is gonna have a hole because with the addtional body drop there is not much room to raise the floor all the way over the notch without it looking way too shallow.

Unless Nate has an idea he hasnt told me of yet, I don't think there will be any inner fenders. The list is getting to long.

As far as the motor, it will be the original 350. Just cleaned up a bunch.

Painted, powdercoated, Billet Specialties Vtrac etc. Nothing special.

I might throw some sort of LS motort in the future, but for now, the aim is to finish the project.
