Re: Made my hotel reservations for the Southeast Truck Nationals

I won't be attending but have done some of the big shows and the Power Tour.
What happens when the show dates are confirmed the event planners buy up the local hotel rooms and then sell at a higher price than normal.
So when we would attend the shows but stayed about 30 miles out and book hotels at a more reasonable price.
For work I traveled all over the US for many many years. To get a better hotel price I would always ask if they had a rate for Coca Cola, IBM or any other company I could think of. Many times it would reduce the price of the room buy quite a bit. Never once I had to prove I was with either company which I wasn't. The hotels if not fully booked were happy to sell the room instead of leaving it empty.

Not sure at the moment what next year's schedule looks like, but I'm planning on being there again with my K20.

Re: Made my hotel reservations for the Southeast Truck Nationals

It's definitely on my schedule, but I'm not sure what truck I'll be in. Probably depends on where I'm at with the 81 and if the 63 will even be drivable If all else fails, I can take my dad's 02 1500HD

Re: Made my hotel reservations for the Southeast Truck Nationals

From Bryan Ashley on SETN FB page.
I hope everyone is having a great Christmas season so far and are ready for this weekend. I wanted to make a post and let everyone know that Pre-Registration for the 2023 Southeastern Truck Nationals presented by U.S. MAG Wheels will open on January 14th at NOON CST. PUT IT ON YOUR CALENDAR!! The dates for the 2023 Southeastern Truck Nationals are July 7th and July 8th at the Wilson County Fairgrounds. There will ONLY be 1,800 outside spots for the show this year. Registration is $45.
We will have some indoor spots this year, however they will not be available for Pre-Registration until March. Unfortunately, they are not done with the construction of the building and we don't know the exact amount of GM Trucks that will fit in the building. If you want, you can wait until March to register for an indoor spot, but you'll be taking a chance on the 1,800 outside spots being sold out.
Go to www.gmtruckshow.com to register on January 14th at NOON CST.
Thank you guys for your continued support of the show.

Wonder what’s up with the discrepancy. The email says 1800 outside spot the FB says 1700 like last year . Don’t matter I’ll be registered even if I don’t go

Attention LS guys and Girls.

Just posted on FB

Southeastern Truck Nationals
21m ·
I've been working on this since November,
but finally was able to get it finalized.
We are raffling off an LS3 Engine
at the 2023 Southeastern Truck Nationals
presented by
U.S. MAG Wheels
thanks to Walker Chevrolet located in Franklin, Tennessee.
The engine is valued at approximately $10,000.
***EVERY REGISTERED TRUCK WILL
RECEIVE ONE RAFFLE TICKET JUST FOR REGISTERING***
The motor will be on display at the Walker Chevrolet vendor booth.
Additional tickets can be purchased at their booth for $20 each by anyone.
All money raised above the cost of the engine will be donated to a local charity.
The winner will be announced at the award ceremony on Saturday and must be present to win.
Also, the winner will be responsible for taking it home from the show.
You can still register at https://gmtruckshow.com/product/2023-show-registration/

Not sure yet . I’m leaning towards the 72 my 68 stepper will be done most likely but driving 1000 miles one way with a 250 with a 4.57 rear isn’t all that appealing.

Re: Made my hotel reservations for the Southeast Truck Nationals

Ended up at the Quality inn . The Holiday inn express was out of the blocked off rooms for the show. They quoted me a price of 350 per night or to get the show price I would have had to change rooms every night . And two nights would have been a double bed . Not happening there ain’t no Holiday express worth that much a night . The Quality inn was 104 a night and is fully refundable if I cancel by August 3rd
