Re: intro + 66 black bagged long fleet
got a small update
made me a radiator mounts... funny thing is this wasnt meant to look like a v8 symbol in the begining but i think it turned out pretty cool..i mounted it with some pretty thick rubber spacers to help dampen it a lil i wish i had a tig... this would look alot better but o well got a new battery today... still gotta make a hold down for it i plan on doing some more things over the next few days so stay tuned

Looking killer!
Try classicparts.com for the insulation pad. I used them a lot.

One of the best build threads I have seen...and the first one I have read from start to finish! I love your work. Can't wait to see you pull it out and take a picture from the side.

Re: intro + 66 black bagged long fleet
The problem for me isn't the Hondas (or any import/tuner car), it's usually the drivers. At least around here it is.

Re: intro + 66 black bagged long fleet
Thanx for the compliments guys. As far as the imports goes i got tired of them because it always seemed like a contest of who could bolt on the most overpriced rare jdm parts on their car so they could brag about it instead of doing some real fab work. Also after u put 10 grand in a civic u can only sell it for 3500 if ur lucky. Dont get me wrong. I miss my 13 second honda that got 32 mpg but i think my truck is gonna be alot more fun

Re: intro + 66 black bagged long fleet
Clean! You don't see that style Civic around here anymore and if you do they are completely beat down and rotten

Re: intro + 66 black bagged long fleet
I'm a chevy truck guy through and through, but my favorite movies I think are still fast and furious (guilty little pleasure). I think the imports can be pretty badass, but Coulter you nailed it, there is something about fab vs bolt-on that just appeals to me more. That, and a 1961 chev is what it is and expectations are already set. A 2003 anything is still a trend or fad. What I may like on it today, may strike me as ugly next year. my opinion at least.

Re: intro + 66 black bagged long fleet
sweet build, if you haven't redone your door panels yet, use some contact cement, you can get it from a tim supply shop or its the same thing from Home Depot, the product used to install formica, for counter tops, yellow in color. you can spray it through your primer gun.. You might want to scap the old material, if you used a spray can adhesive. Hope that helps. Truck looks super nice.
