Re: 1981 Chevrolet C50 Pick-up Conversion

Came home and got things degreased and ready to buff up and paint on the rear half of my truck.

Hopefully I can have this done for the weekend, as it looks like I wont be here again... ha.

Its cleaner!

Great Build thread!

Cant wait to see some the bed and some color on it.

Around my area there are literally dozens of these sitting around in fields and pastures. I like the early 70 ones too.

One Bad Ass ride. I hope to see a diesel in there soon! Would love to find a 67-72 to do this to.

Hey just curious are you from the USA and just live in Canada? I read your parents live here and you come here to work and vacation. Just curious either way.

I am a Canadian guy, went to university in West Palm Beach, Florida though. My parents winter in the Mission Texas area from December to Aprilish.

I do visit the US quite a bit. Will be in Vegas at the end of October for the AAPEX/SEMA show.

I want one of these so bad! I saw seven today between Edmonton and Grande prairie. Not sure if my poor wife would take another project!

Re: 1981 Chevrolet C50 Pick-up Conversion

Got up early this morning, got a little wire wheeling done on the frame.

Also drained the fuel tank... a nice shade of dirty brown mixed with that stale varnishy smell. 10 gallons later it was empty.

I will bring home some fresh fuel tonight.

Never ask for permission, just do it!

I think you need to throw the bed on, do a test fit and give us pictures. If you start now you should be able to do so by the time I wake up...
