Re: 1964 GMC 1500 "crustine" semi- build.
Hi guys! Finally got around for some more pictures! Here is the engine all done and buttoned up. Still messing with the clutch and have a couple bugs to work out. But she drives like normal again.

Re: 1964 GMC 1500 "crustine" semi- build.
No haha, Couldn't find a way to ship it that wasn't overly priced, nor did the seller have any way of lifting it onto the trailer so I called it off last minute. Letting this one pass. 5 minutes ago there were only 2 bidders. That happened fast! haha

Re: 1964 GMC 1500 "crustine" semi- build.
Well nothing to report on Crustine. Just been driving and driving. Today I pulled the plugs and they are burning pretty clean for having a 4 barrel on there. Burning a little oil from the valves, but nothing major at all. Checked the level last weekend and still at the full mark. Put in some hot AC delco plugs that GM used in the 478 v6's. They are made to be gapped as wide as .060. So I went .055 and called it. Little better low end for sure, over all acceleration the same. Good ol girl does good enough for my needs. Mileage hurts a bit though. haha But sometimes I can't resist putting my foot in it in 3rd going through a canyon.

Re: 1964 GMC 1500 "crustine" semi- build.
Thanks guyz! Like Bomp said...sometimes ya just can't resist. haha I call it burning out some carbon cause I do a lot of stopping and going and the motor never really has a chance to get to operating temp. On these it tends to run for an hour before they warm up.

If a engine that was made that needs to have remote start it would be the GMC V6.
