Re: 60-66 Chevy Truck spotters thread.

I've seen this 66 a few times on Hillcrest Ave in Antioch. The first time I didn't have a camera. The second is the first picture, I couldn't catch up so this is the best I could get. Then yesterday I ran across it again and finally got a better shot of it. When all the stars align I might be able to meet the owner. I wonder if he's a member here.

This truck was used in a local 4rth of July parade representing wounded warriors. It was a big hit, many stood and saluted as it went by.

Few old Chevy trucks here, but the old Suburban caught my eye.

Re: 60-66 Chevy Truck spotters thread.

Man that hood looks immaculate. Probably worth as much as the whole truck together, which looks like a nice restoration candidate.

Re: 60-66 Chevy Truck spotters thread.

Don't see many convertible blazers like that around anymore let alone a 2wd model.

Yea, it was a nice ride, stock 350, AT, 4WD didn't look like it had been abused. Nice cruiser.

Re: 60-66 Chevy Truck spotters thread.

Story has it he purchased it from the second owner ( in his 90's ) who purchased it from the seed mill where he worked. The second owner put the Holmes unit on. Documented with a personal letter from Holmes asking if the kit was correctly made for his application. Originally green, later painted blue.
Other trucks he had as well.
US 29 north of Lynchburg, Virginia

Camper was nice C20 with dual conversion.

Re: 60-66 Chevy Truck spotters thread.

This is my 1st attempt at posting a pic... I hope it works.

I saw this GMC 960 near Niagara On The Lake, Ontario. Looks like it needs some Viagra... or maybe just a front u-joint.

There was a dealership logo on the cowl from Niagara Motors in Virgil, about 5 miles from where the truck was sitting.
