Re: project INCREDIBLE HULK 6.2L with 6L80E
That is all fantastic work especially the dash
I have read every page twice and you don't mention what or where the evaporator came from. Is it a Gen 4 mag? I called Vintage air and the sales guy would not confirm that a Gen 4 would fit my 71. I am in the mist of shaving my firewall and if I need to fab any brackets and weld , now would be a good time to have it. Your info would save me from buying a mock up unit. Richard

Re: project INCREDIBLE HULK 6.2L with 6L80E
sorry, yes it is a VA gen 4 magnum.....i use the VA condensor/ dryer that is SPECIFIC to the 67-72 chevy trucks, and then i make my own A/C and heat lines.....
any more ?s just ask, ill be glad to help if i can... thanks for the complaments you will need to fab some kinda mounting bracket, and weld it on.....they make it real easy to adapt their mounting bracket to something you can fab up and weld....its not bad at all. got a few new parts in, so the front suspension got pulled back out.......also im glad the huge ice storm that covered masa, AZ is all melted now, and the back ordered parts are getting shipped out finally...
the intake is now insanely close to the firewall, but we already had this covered, but that'll be a diffrent post with pics..... Last edited by 68 short step; 02-08-2009 at 11:46 PM. |

Re: project INCREDIBLE HULK 6.2L with 6L80E
looks like you have more work to do on the firewall to clear the intake, or you could space the cab up 1/2" to 3/4" . looking great.

How are you running your wires from the fuse block out to the engine? Do you have any pics?

Re: project INCREDIBLE HULK 6.2L with 6L80E
im not sure what you're asking....im gonna have a fuse panel under the hood that'll just be used for the engine/trans.....the other fuses will be on the inside of the cab

I never used the "ice storm" excuse.... maybe next time!? Again, thanks for the patience on the parts, it's nice to see them all fit up! Everything looks great!
