Re: "Old Olive" 1970 C10 porterbuilt build

Little more progress. Got most of the accessories bolted to the motor, got the wrong kwik ac bracket so I'll have to send it back. Rear main seal, cover and flexplate installed.4l65e bolted on and everything in the truck again, hopefully for the last time!

Hart Rods one-off super wide ChubTubz are painted! Decided to do a little patina paint job to match the original paint truck.

I used the Holley Accessory Drive kit on a couple of my projects. Its modeled after the corvette brackets.

Re: "Old Olive" 1970 C10 porterbuilt build

Looks like you bought the GM Muscle Car oil pan kit. What kind of ground clearance do you have with that pan?

What is the paint code? My truck is that color (started that way anyway) but I can't read the code on the glove box door.

Any clearance problems with the Hooker cast manifolds, Porterbuilt and steering column?

Love the build.

I originally had the muscle car pan but a buddy told me it would hit the steering rack so I bought a fbody pan p/n 12628771 instead. Now that I have the engine in, it looks like the muscle car pan would have fit anyway...

I took in a fender and had them match the color since I'm going with the original paint, I wanted it to match the faded color rather than the new color. The GM color name is yellow green or olive green though.

The hooker manifolds fit great.

Re: "Old Olive" 1970 C10 porterbuilt build

Rolled her out to get some sun! Entropy radiator installed and threw the fenders on.

Having the truck towed to get a full exhaust system installed, then brake, fuel, air hardlines.
