Just in today new Chevy late-model HEI distributor. This distributor will allow the Holley fuel injection computer to control a time.

Re: I think i can!!! - SWB 72 Step-side
You are about where I am now with my project. I used to work for SLB as a DD out of Wharton, Tx. Do you know Ronnie Peirce or Ben Zapata? When it got slow and they cut pay in 09 and I came back to Transocean offshore. I'm pushing tools on a drill ship the DAS. I feel fortunate to have time to work on my truck when i'm on days off. How do you get it done working for SLB D&M? I remember having to pull alot of days when I was there. Nice looking build, keep it up.

Re: I think i can!!! - SWB 72 Step-side
Such detailed frame, awesome build. So is your air intake gonna be sticking through the hood or will it fit underneath? With that smaller case blower i would imagine it would tuck under the hood.?

Re: I think i can!!! - SWB 72 Step-side
derrickmanx1,
Thanks, things are good at SLB. I have been working out of Youngsville since 01. Just now im managing the LWD department. Your build is looking great. I like your motor/ tranny goodies. That thing should be a beast!! I'm thinking of changing my 3.73 to a 4.11 also. Quote:

We'll see how the 4.10's work with the 4l80e. The math works out to 3.07 final drive so it should be fun. I believe it will be a beast. I can't wait to drive it.

Re: I think i can!!! - SWB 72 Step-side
Smoknbarrels,
I'm praying it all fits under the hood. Before I started the project it was about 2 inches too tall with the blower. So I lowered the motor 1.25' and I'm going to run a 2 inch cowl hood. Also the holley tbi throttle body is about .5' shorter then the carburetor. Like I said I'm praying it fits!!! Haha. Posted via Mobile Device

Leon,
Thanks. I need to run my gas lines next. I'm going to run them like yours. But I'm not sure what all i need to order. Did you order a kit? What psi are you going to run? Posted via Mobile Device

Re: I think i can!!! - SWB 72 Step-side
Just a little update. My cab is getting closer but summer keeps getting in the way. The back wall and floor are complete. Next step will be the doors. I finished rapping the headers and install them. I hope to start running fuel lines next weekend.

Re: I think i can!!! - SWB 72 Step-side
I got my tail gate & side steps blasted and sprayed with pit guard. They came out ok but the guy dropped the tail gate and dented it on the spoiler. It's a small dent good think its not the painter!
