Sicklajoie and CUSHE63, those are awesome looking rides. Im a huge fan of the steel wheel look, but sometimes I think slots would look pretty cool, and then I see trucks like yours, and it smacks me back where I belong =)
(I still really like slots though lol)

Re: Whose on Steelies? Post 'em up!
I like both, too, and I like the Alcoas that originally came with my truck. But it's hard to beat steelies!

Re: Whose on Steelies? Post 'em up!
I run my 67 on original steel wheels. I wouldn't run anything else. The looks and comments I get everwhere I go make it a no brainer!
I've been off the site the last 4 mobths rebuilding the wife's kitchen. I can't wait to get back into my shop this summer. |

Re: Whose on Steelies? Post 'em up!
Chewychevy67,
The tires are 820-15 Firestone black walls. They are from Coker Tire and are as close to the tires you would have gotten if you purchased the C10 model in 1967. They are bias-ply and do track groves in the road more so then steel belted tires do. Just a heads up, but my wife says I drive like a little old lady so the bias-plys ride fine for me. DaBigKahuna, I will get out to my backyard shop and get a few close up pictures for you. I have a set of original white and red 67 hubcaps I use when running errands around town, don't what to temp anyone with the stainless ones. It took me about five years to find and purchase the set you see on my truck in the pictures, so I plan on using them once I start putting the C10 in shows. Just had to throw a picture of myself in there yesterday so all of you would know how crazy I am about my 67. My Dad owned one when I was a kid, I guess thats what makes my truck so special to me. |

Re: Whose on Steelies? Post 'em up!
Ok, so what I'd like to know is, will C10 hubcaps fit on my C20? I know that they are different bolt patterns (6 vs 8), but figured it was worth a shot to ask.

Re: Whose on Steelies? Post 'em up!
I'm pretty sure that will not work. You have at least 16" rims right? My C20 has/has had 16 or 16.5 and the hubcaps are much bigger than the ones that go on 15" rims.

Re: Whose on Steelies? Post 'em up!
Todd68chevy,
Thanks for sharing the pictures of your 68 hubs with everyone. You said they have been repainted the original colors. I have a complete set of hubs for a 1968 C10 that I am restoring. Can you provide me with the paint brand and colors you used? guy58 |

Re: Whose on Steelies? Post 'em up!
I actually worded that wrong. What I was meaning was where the black is and where the silver is are the style or pattern they were originally. The actual paint color is not correct. The silver is not bright enough for what was on them. I am sorry but I do not know the actual correct colors. I bet if you start a new tread with that question, someone knows the correct answer for you. Sorry I could not help. I love the look of them but I do wish they had the right colors on them. Thanks, Todd
