Sounds good. Do you think the harness install might be difficult?

Re: 1967 Mustang Coupe Build (Electra)
She is lookin really good man...Floor pans are a b@#$%! Keep an eye on Rock Auto.com for parts. They have wholesaler closeouts on the older parts all the time. I practically built the Cougars with their parts. I think I payed 45.00 total for all 4 shocks shipped. I just order up the parts when I see a deal and let them sit on the shelf until its time for that part of the build.

On another Note....SHES ALIVE!!!! I replaced the alternator wiring harness, replaced the whole headlight harness, and took the battery to Advanced to have it charged. She fired right up like it was nobodies business. The the problem with the right side being dimmer now seems to be gone as well as the problem with the right blinker not working with the headlights on. It was a ground issue specifically the ground for the alt was missing. The ground floats back into the headlight harness and ground on the other side as well. So yeah the right side wasnt grounded causing the issues

Re: 1967 Mustang Coupe Build (Electra)
Thanks guys! Actually moved the ground as the guys at the mustang forum told me that location was no bueno due to it being a head mounting bolt. Sanded down a location below it that was missing a bolt, and put it there. Started the mustang up and all is still working! Woohoo!!

Re: 1967 Mustang Coupe Build (Electra)
Mine is too, mine also doesn't have manifold gaskets (some people say you don't need them) but I think I'm going to install them.

Re: 1967 Mustang Coupe Build (Electra)
There's been a couple pretty lengthy threads on this forum before about running with and without manifold gaskets on GM small blocks too. Surprisingly, a lot of people don't run them...
Tires and stance are damn near perfect! The ass could come down a touch, but I think I'd leave it! Is it almost ready for paint???

Re: 1967 Mustang Coupe Build (Electra)
I rolled my front DS fender today using eastwood's roller. If you even THINK you need to roll your fenders, do it now, before any kind of paint or body work. It really pushes out on the fender as it rolls. Kinda scared the crap out of me. I also tried the heat gun method so the paint didn't crack... right... cracked anyway. It's OK though, just on the backside lip of the fender, I'll sand it all down and shoot it black before I reinstall the stainless fender trim. Appears to have provided A LOT more room for the big meats I shoved under there.

Re: 1967 Mustang Coupe Build (Electra)
Installed rear shocks and struggled with the front. Had to cut out a bolt as it was spinning. The front passenger side was hard and at a weird angle. I'm not sure why or if somethibg is wrong. It took a lot of work to get it in and I busted a bolt off there. Took her for a 30 min drive and she almoat overheated so ordered a new thermostat. Hopefully that's all it is
