acetone or mineral spirits. I can't remember which. either will work I believe and it doesn't take much. You just want to thin it enough to spay through the bottle when set on the mist setting. Or you could roll it on.

Re: Project Patina Burb

Another coat today, we'll see how this one does to determine whether or not I go with another coat.

Halen had all kinds of fun and she's alot cheaper then a professional painter.

Re: Project Patina Burb

Just out of curiosity, have you ever thought about actually rusting it and clearing over it when it's done?

Re: Project Patina Burb

I'm thinking of using a satin or flat clear after I'm done.

That's cool! How long did it take to rust after you sprayed it on? I read Rus' thread a while back, but have forgotten.

Re: Project Patina Burb

If you lived in Indiana it would rust on its own without having to spray stuff on it. Looking good and coming along nicely.

Re: Project Patina Burb

The best part about this process is that its over the paint! So the truck isn't actually rusting. its just the look!

Re: Project Patina Burb

Do you think it would work over a base/clear truck. My cab doesn't match the rest of my truck and I don't want to repaint the whole truck.. However, wouldn't mind doing something like this.
