Re: Raising the bed floor 67cheby
thats a good idea but i dont think i will be able to steal it from you, my tank is just a tad bigger. I think the only place it will fit is in the back of the bed. 44 x 12.5

Re: Raising the bed floor 67cheby
Looks awesome! I'm considering running a similar suspension setup with a raised wood bed and trying to get a rough idea of the floor height. Approximately, what's the distance from the top of the notches to the top of the bed rails? Thanks.

That's a good looking setup! I'll have to make it up that way one of these days and check it out

Re: Raising the bed floor 67cheby
nice colour are you going to do parts of the dash and the steeringwheel in that material too?
a tuck and roll center should look noce in those seats and it will prolly hide the difference in the center of the two seats

the dash, door panels , arm rests and carpet will all be that color... i cant decide what to do on the steering wheel , i am using the original steering whee cant decide if i should do the steering col and wheel in a flat red to match the upholstery or paint them silver to match the truck, OPINIONS ?? anyone Oh and as far as the contours of the seats they will match when my upholsterer gets done with them

Re: Raising the bed floor 67cheby
Satin. The interior needs to compliment the exterior w/o taking the focus away or seeming like it's one non-ending canvas.

Re: Raising the bed floor 67cheby
if you can stretch the leather enough to fall intoo the fingerdimples in the rear you might be able to upholster the hoop of the steeringwheel ...... glue it all the way around and use stitching on the inside of the hoop use satin paint on the rest it will prolly hold a lot better against rubbing then straight paint , should do a good job at covering cracks on an old steeringwheel too
might even be able to use the leather on the top part of the colum maibe make double stitched buttonholes on the indicator lever and the other stuf stickin out of it

Re: Raising the bed floor 67cheby
i take it that the semysolid engine mounts are simulair of those of a dropmember why dont you use hardline thats a lot thinner than the rubber hose

Re: Raising the bed floor 67cheby
i dont think i can use a hardline, the powersteering pump has to move in order to tighten the belt, and yes they are the dropmember motor mounts

Re: Raising the bed floor 67cheby
Those ps hoses are a pain! I had to hook up all the hoses with the power steering pump unbolted from the block.
