Re: Brother's keeper - '58 Stepside build
Thanks for the positive feedback guys.
Working on the interior tonight. The door panels are in, the kick panels are in, the jute carpet pad and carpet are also in. Tomorrow I have some friends coming over to hang the hood and fenders, maybe they will help me drag the bench seat up from the basement... |

Re: Brother's keeper - '58 Stepside build
Mark, What's the little black box on the dash? Radar detector? Camera? Maybe you've already mentioned it and I missed it. If so, sorry.

Dan that is an antenna for the GPS speedometer. It’s not the ideal mounting location but it has to have a sky view.

Re: Brother's keeper - '58 Stepside build
Tonight my friend Warren and I got the front fenders on. He's been building cool project cars forever and his knowledge and skill was a huge help tonight. I still need to put on the braces and fine tune the gap at the bottom on the driver's side, but they're on...

Re: Brother's keeper - '58 Stepside build
I've been watching your build for a while now without saying much, but your truck is looking amazing! I can't believe how fast its going back together after paint.

It’s my other full time job Rick. The mock up process helped a whole bunch, there hasn’t been much in the way of surprises or delays so far.

Re: Brother's keeper - '58 Stepside build
Progress continues, the hood is adjusted, headlight bezels are on and after much effort the front bumper gaps came out perfect. I still need to finish up the carpet, put the seat in and finish up a few things in the back. I need to get some tags so I can drive this thing...

Re: Brother's keeper - '58 Stepside build
that thing looks awesome. a good feeling to see those parts on the truck instead of in the shop I bet.you will be out cruising in no time.
just curious what you are using for tail lights, the lense is reminiscent of the olf caddie lense. is that a home made version of a single caddie lense on a different mounting body? |
