Just read your build, great looking truck and a lot of fine detail. The mirror finish paint is out of this world!!

Re: Bowtie468's Extreme '68 BuildPage
Sorry guys ! ive got a few pics now.
I really liked Mike's (67cheby) lower control arm washers from Michigan Metal Works. Liked them so much that i jumped on the lathe and whipped up a set for my arms. Polished them up and then powdercoated them clear. Looks much better IMO.

Wiring done ! (except for the rear taillights, since the bed is not installed yet.
Nonetheless, we have lights. Also a shot of the hood letters courtesy of Trim Parts.

Re: Bowtie468's Extreme '68 BuildPage
Thanks ! Here's a piece that i actually wasted time on. When time and cash were running a little low, i decided to control the bags with paddle valves and then just do the Accuair later. This is the console for the valves that i came up with. Now that the truck wont make the deadline, i'll be pulling this out and going with the original plans. Pic may not show it but it actually comes from under the seat the turns upward.Paddle valves and gauges are from Boris (way2lo2)
Also showing the vacuum pump for the power brakes. Still need to find a place to mount it. Its a CVR unit that will pull 20 in. On demand setup that will kick in anytime engine vac falls below 12 in.

Re: Bowtie468's Extreme '68 BuildPage
Many thanks guys for the encouraging words . I'd especially like to thank a great personal friend, Kevin Morgan with Ronnie's Classic Rods in Nachitoches LA, for helping get this truck where it is today . Both in completition of the body and paint work that was remaining and the paint issues that showed up from the previous painter . We're going to go enjoy a week long of hot rods and classic cars at Cruisin the Coast then we'll get back on it and wrap this project up . I'm ready to drive the wheels off this thing !

Enjoy Cruisin the Coast Chris, that show is on my bucket list. One year i'll have to take a vacation and come down there. Make sure you take plenty of pictures and post them up those of us that can't make it.

Re: Bowtie468's Extreme '68 BuildPage
Yep Kevin (65streetcruiser) is the man when it comes to body and paint. (Even though he will never admit it) You couldn't have had a more suited person painting it, with his love for these old trucks. (Especially a '68) Nice work y'all! Now get that thing finished, I want to see it in print!
