Re: How to: Ruin a perfectly good C10
Thanks! Getting there...
Fronts are 235/70-15 on a 6.5" wheel. I have a set of 7" that I will switch them out for due to clearance issues with the lower control arm...

Re: How to: Ruin a perfectly good C10
Tore into the front half of the truck today to prepare for primer/paint by removing everything I don't want blue. Found a few more 'surprises' in the way of some rust that was bondo-ed over and the core support being mis-aligned and missing lots of fasteners. Fixed those things up as well as gutted the doors and gave them a good coat of rust inhibitor inside. The hood fits much better now that the doghouse is square... Sanded all of the metal down and got her masked-up. Primer is laid- needs to be wet sanded then ready for some more blue

I'm givin' 'er all she's got, Captain!
It's easy, you just have to stop doing everything except eating, sleeping, and showering- and you can delay those a bit if necessary

Re: How to: Ruin a perfectly good C10
wow.....great job and amazing dedication.
In the last 2 weeks you have re built a truck. All I have done is change some diapers, nap when the weather turns gloomy and watch my Lakers get destroyed....lol This thread makes me feel incompetent and lazy

Re: How to: Ruin a perfectly good C10
Thanks! Finally got back to work this evening...
Wet sanded, scuffed, and cleaned up in preparation for some color on the rest of the truck. Was fun stretching across that looooong hood. Also caught a little suicide dive bomber in the fender. Truck actually looks kinda good with glossy, wet paint...
