Looks good but I hate to be the one to point this out but your tranny or bell housing might be a bit tight.

Really? I didn't think about that I still have some trimming to do. I will cut that out when I build my tunnel.

Re: 72 2wd Blazer: Project "Break Me"

No pictures but there is progress. I got my brackets cut out, top and bottom for the coilovers and welded in. Got the rear tubs made and the notch cover made. Now comes the fun of fitting the tubs and welding everything up.
On a side note I bought a dash from a fellow member out of a 60-63 truck that will be grafted in. I will try and get some progress pics this weekend.

Re: 72 2wd Blazer: Project "Break Me"

Thanks to 72bigred I got me a new dash to install. My buddy had a friend make me a set of brackets to mount the C5 rotors and calipers on the C4 spindles for free Got the rear tubs shaped up, you can see in the pic what I am using to seal the tubs to the fender. The tub is just sitting there in the pic, the inner fender is cut out and the tub will slide in and seal up to the bedside.

Re: 72 2wd Blazer: Project "Break Me"

I cut the crap out of the floor pans to get a flat surface to bring over to the trans tunnel. Has anyone ever put one of those dashes in this style truck? It looks like it won't be too bad but you never know. I plan on bringing the lines of the dash down to the console and making the console and the dash all flow together.

Sweet ride. I had a factory 2WD K5 when I was in high school, red and lowered like yours. Man I'm kicking myself now for selling it. Super sharp ride you have there. They are getting to be like "Hens teeth" impossible to find hold on to it like grim death

Been working on the remodel of the house for the last few months. Hopefully I will have my shop finished in a few more weeks but I don't see anything getting done to the trazer for a few more months. Hopefully in a few weeks I can get it out of my Dad's shop and bring it home.

Re: 72 2wd Blazer: Project "Break Me"

No trazer progress but I am pretty much done with the shop and the house... I still have a bunch of landscaping to do but I am going to wait until the fall now. The shop is a 30x56x12 with a 3:12 pitch on the roof,m I took the old cabinets out of our house and put them in the shop. I basically have a working kitchen if I would install the dishwasher. I waited nearly 10 years for my own shop and I am glad I waited now since this is about the perfect size. I threw in a pic of my crew... I bought me a set of 20's for it And my other blazer, I bnought some 12 bolt h1's and run flats for it. Hopefully in 2 weeks the trazer will be in it's new resting place and I can start back working on it.
