Never cared for that color on cars, but man it looks good on your truck without the blue. Great vision!

If your talking about the lower bearing. I think it would be common, because it gets alot of water/road crud in it. If you have the column out. It's the perfect time to put new bearings in.

Thank you Sir ! Lucky for me color choice wasn't too difficult, because I knew from the start I wanted some kind of brown.

Ya, what he said ^^^

Looks sweet man! Have any work to do to the wheel? Mine has the typical cracks in the spokes and I'm itchin to see somene restore theirs so I can learn. Hinges are real cool. Why did you choose to powder those vs. paint?

Re: 68' Chevy c10

Hey, looking great. I'll stop in sometime when time allows. Haven't started a build thread yet. I started on the truck, but progress is super slow. I'm waiting till I get farther along and have more time to build and keep a thread going. Gotta finished getting moved!

Thanks jl ! My wheel has the same thing goin on, and I'll be repairing it with 2 part epoxy from por 15. I will post pics of the process. as far as the hinges, I just thought it would hold up better than paint.

Re: 68' Chevy c10

More parts getting ready for paint. This being my first build, I'm taking pics of nearly everything. after making it this far through the build I have a real appreciation for the effort involved in competing build. and my truck isn't getting the full tilt treatment some of the rides on this site are. My hats off to all the builders that see the project through to the end. even though we know were never finished. anyway heres some pics.

All that nitty-gritty has to be time consuming! I've got yards of coffee cans full of little crap that all needs cleaned up and painted. Props on the details!

Thanks Keith ! It always seems to come down to the details. I think if I had all the time back that I spent re-doing things I'd be done by now. but if you dont like how something turns out, what else can you do.

While still working on nuts/bolt, and glove box door. I started on the steering wheel. also got steering column down to bare metal, and treated some trouble areas with rust mort. heres pics of the wheel.

mix equal parts A+B. work it down into the cracks. its water soluble so you can wet your finger and smooth it out to eliminate some sanding. this stuff sets up hard as nails ! got a few spots left to do, but my hands were shot.
