Looking good Madrods! I'm thinking about painting my frame, yours turned out very nice! Every time I get close to getting the money to powder coat my frame I end up spending the money on something else! Great progress! Keep it going.

Thanks Tony, I wish I had the $$ to powdercoat my frame. The only thing that is powdercoated on my truck is the PB arms. Cost me $190 so I said hell no to the frame!

Wow, that's crazy! The shop who did my buddies frame (my oven is only 4x4x6) charged him $400 and that included blasting. Maybe I'm a cheap bastard, but knowing what it costs me to shoot a set of arms ($5 in powder and about an hour labor) I would feel bad for charging more than $100.

It will take about $20 worth of powder to shoot both front/rear PB setups for my truck. Good thing everything will fit in my oven.

Truck looks amazing.

My brother in law forum member "107" made this for me a long time ago. It's a 63 but its close to what I'm going for minus the chrome window trim.

Is that a carnellian or a cerulean?
That is eye grabbing.

Oh and ouch on the coating bill !!
I would almost think you lived here in central Alaska with a bill like that !!

I'm shooting for Hot Rod Flatz Daytona Blue Pearl if $$$ allows. Reason I'm going blue is cause my uncle painted it blue back in the day and that's how my dad had it. Keep it close to how they had it but with my TWIST.

Just a tip for the hotrodflatz. Buy two gallon kits and mix them together. That way you have extra down the road if you need it. They wont be the same color if you buy more later. (Learned that the hard way)

A carnelian is a gem, in the same range as a garnet (I think), only blue.
when I first saw the rendering cerulean and carnelian were the first 2 things I thought of, then I googled them just to be sure I was not talking out my neck.
Both those colors look amazingly like what you are shooting for!

Good luck with it, cannot wait to see how it turns out !
