A couple more pics of the gas tank. The top is just taped on because it moving when i was installing it. The alluminum piece attached to the tank was welded on both sides of the tank.

wow man, incredible job on the tank. The tank itself, the mounts everything.
The baffles in the tank are great, I'm guessing the pick-up will be in the middle chamber? I know some people put a special foam in the tank to help reduce the sloshing, but the baffles are awesome, and maintenance free for all intensive purposes.
I also really dig that mount for the tranny you made.
Def going to be a top notch truck once it's done. Keep up the great work.

Turbo's are still up in the air but i got the v-band clamps because it fits through my exhaust holes in the frame to remove section if needed.

Thanks for the complements. Yeah the fuel pump and sender is going to go in the middle and a large alluminum blank will be bolted down so you have access to the parts.

Do you mean what process of welding I used or what machine do i have? The gas tank was tig welded and i have a Miller Dynasty 200dx with a coolmate 3 water cooled torch setup. Thanks for the complements

Yeah it is welded directly to the bedsides. The front panel and rear panel are welded where the metal turns 90*. I am also going to weld the front panel to the besides to have a cleaner look. The steel around the tires was built to match the inner fenders so they have something to bolt to.

Well i got a little more done. I was able to get the driverside header done but it was a long week. I originally built a "shorty" header but after i got it built i decided that i wanted long tubes and i wanted them equal length primaries. So i started over and built a new header

. I did some reasearch and found out that 32" primaries are the ideal length for the LS1's. The final out come was well worth my frustrations because it looks sweet, equal length primaries (which was a pain in the a$$ to design and build), long tube header, all tucked in the frame (nothing is hangin below the frame) and the best part of it all the collector is the exact height as the rest of the exhaust so from the collector through my frame is all the same height so it will be nice and level. I still have to do a little more welding and build the other side but that should be easier or hopefully less frustrating

. Anyways here are some pics and in some of the pics the 3rd tube looks like it is close to the frame but it is actually has plenty of clearance.

Thanks Nate! It was a fun and fustrating to build. All the bends are from SPD which from my research is one best suppliers for manderal bent tubing. They have some of the newest and highest quality machines to bend the tubing so you get almost perfect bends that aren't deformed.. The collectors and the bullets are from Cone Engeering. Very easy to install and they flow slightly better than a welded high dollar collector and a fairly inexpensive. At least what there test say. Yeah i have been lucky lately. We have a few huge jobs coming up and we finished all of our work so i am in a transition period which means FREE TIME!!! I don't ever want to work again. I could get my truck done in a month or two

You should give it a try. There not cheaper but you can build them to your specific needs and clearances. It helps if you have a few specific tools. Normal headers (non equal length) would have been much easier. Let me know if you give it a try and need a few tips.
