Re: Project; Divorce Therapy ( 72 SWB 4x4 )

Well there's something to be said for having a driver instead of a project .... It's been yrs since I've driven one of my trucks !!!! But once this one is done I couldn't see selling it, at least not anytime soon, unless someone really came up with a lot of cash !!!! "LOL"

Truck is looking great. I love the look of those tires & wheels, just wondering about the tire size. I looked around a bit & couldn't find much for the 275/75/17 size. Are these tires actually 275/75/17 or are they 275/70/17 or some other size.

Re: Project; Divorce Therapy ( 72 SWB 4x4 )

No updates at this time.... It's been sooo damn hot & humid, and being an HVAC guy, I've been busy to say the least, so truck time has been hard to come by. Soon though, the heat wave finally broke today !!!! Might even get a little time on her after work !

Re: Project; Divorce Therapy ( 72 SWB 4x4 )

Well, I do appreciate that, but I am likely to be driving around my truck with no bed on it. My painter is MIA the last couple weeks. Just started wiring and if it's anything like plumbing, I have a long road ahead.

Looks like it should have plenty of cooling for that 383.

Love this truck! Mine was that green originally too. This fleet side with the two tone in this color has got to be one of the best combos going! Just classic! Absolutely Awesome!

Re: Project; Divorce Therapy ( 72 SWB 4x4 )

The truck in your avatar ?

I've owned a 72 swb 4x4 stepper and a 70 swb 4x4 stepper ! This one is my first fleet side. The 2 steppers were basically stock, this one is more of a resto-mod.

Re: Project; Divorce Therapy ( 72 SWB 4x4 )

Yes. I have had this since I was 15, 40 now. 1st and only chevy. This a basic step, nothing fancy. I just did the motor, tranny, brakes, tank, fuel lines, all electric front to back, and a boat load of odds and ends. This is in decent shape. I painted it, etc.. Great bed, wood floor, etc. Needs floor work next and some popping out. Painted it 18 years ago. Still cannot take it anywhere with out a someone coming over to it. I like the steppers, but would not mind a two tone fleet someday!

Re: Project; Divorce Therapy ( 72 SWB 4x4 )

Nice... I have owned one of these trucks since 84, so for the last 30 yrs.( I'm 53 yrs old ) The original one is in my back yard, now it's just a rusted old heap from plowing with it. I redid it a couple of times, but it's too far gone now. The one I'm doing now will be my toy, never to see the snow unless I open the garage door. "LOL"

Love the swb 4x4 steppers, had 3 of them, decided to go fleet side for a change !

Re: Project; Divorce Therapy ( 72 SWB 4x4 )

Well the truck has been sitting untouched for the last couple of weeks do to me having a Bakers Cyst on the back side of my right knee burst, leaking synovial fluid ( the fluid in your knee ) all down through my lower leg. I have never experienced anything quite like it. This fluid might be good for your knee but it's not good for the rest of the tissue in your leg. My leg swelled up like a balloon to the point it felt like my skin was going to split open.......
My skin is red and hot to the touch and is now turning brused looking. There's nothing you can do but take pain meds and lce your leg....... After two weeks it's just now starting to feel like it's subsiding!!!!! I can walk a little again..... OMG."..... WTF....... I didn't even know I had this thing !!!!!!!!
