Re: 1969 GMC Pickup
I have actually just today scored a mid-90's 454 TBI with trans...30k on the motor...complete with wiring and ECU. $800. Everything goes right, I will have it this weekend. Pics to follow.

Re: 1969 GMC Pickup
Not sure if MO DOT is prepared for BOBBO's take-off's and landings. He should keep the local tire shops busy for a few months..
Looking good.

Re: 1969 GMC Pickup
Heck, I'm just trying to scrape enough money together to have my used flowmasters attached to my existing pipes and ran out the back. And here you are buying engines and stuff! I'll never keep up! The only solice I have is knowing I can get in and drive mine (after I air up the 2 front tires of course!)

Re: 1969 GMC Pickup
Looking forward to seeing engine pics.
Here is a teaser shot of Firedog's new powerplant after a rod began making some demands for attention. Lovely Mo. weather for tinkering with our trucks! Hang in there Scott.

Re: 1969 GMC Pickup
Working on it. Found a small spot of bondo on the passenger cab corner, the dent is not bad at all and should be easily fixable.

Re: 1969 GMC Pickup
Haven't done much the last couple weeks. Took on a second job in the evenings helping a friends' dad who rebuilds industrial machinery. Going to get some more work done today. Didn't get the engine due to the federal taxes being applied to owed state taxes, which I figured would happen. The second job will be funding the truck. Will post up pics of some progress later today.

Re: 1969 GMC Pickup
And a pic of the wheels I really want to get...Ion 138's. 15x10 on the rear and 15x8 for the front...my new manager at work is very good friends with the owner of Ion wheels so i may be able to get a really good deal on them...
