It was actually an accident. Years ago I had a bodyshop spray it satin black. When I went to pick it up,they had just sprayed it w/black primer..I said WTF?,out loud,.I needed the truck so I said just scuff n spray it w/some sealer so it looks satin. Im not sure what they did but you can see its preety close to satin black.
I would go w/a single stage satin black like HRF,as mentioned.

Re: my 98' Streetrod build

Grate build, just sat in the office for an hour reading threw it. Your truck looks grate, love the color. I was wondering how you are going to finish off the dash or if your going to leave it open? I saw you had some templates made up in one of the pics but there wasn't anything after that.

Re: my 98' Streetrod build

I thought I had this pic somewhere in the thread but I forget.
I will have some wedge shaped covers over the top of the two pod areas made w/the same material,10 gauge aluminum.

Thanks for the good word.

Yeah you do have that pic up. I was asking about the wedge shaped covers, that's going to look way cool. Different from the normal glass dashes.

Re: my 98' Streetrod build

Finally got this thing home. These are all the pics I could get.Its still a roller so I cant move it around. Overall turned out well, disappointed in some of the fitment and rough edges but I was tired of getting labor bills for little to no progress. On a scale,,I'd say its an 8.

Feels good to have it home where I know its safe. Thanks for lookin.

Workin on getting the dash panels in place and laying out wiring. Lot of work to still do.
