Chevy 51" original Texas truck,,now in Holland

Yesterday I finally recived my New parts
They are for my steering colom and steeringrack
But now I have a problem
I have to change my motor mounts
So have to remove the engine this weekend to weld on a normal way

Had to change the motormount because the shaft was going right triest the motormount

My plans are to finish the truck this Year
And drive the truck for the first time since 1976

And after that, When everything is perfect
I want to start with the body, and paint

Looks really good. Steering shafts and engine mounts are always a challenge.

Next week I Will recive the last part for the steering shaft
Then it Will be finisht, was an easy job, 😜



Next week I wil instal the ss braided hoses for the powersteering
After that 2 days work on the elektric

And then.!!! vroaammmm

Going to build a New rear end,
Just found a 9" rear for free

Going to cut it to the right size, and replace everything in it
What do you Guys think Will be the right gearing,?
Its a 454 BB with a TH400 trans
18" front Wheels and 20" back Wheels
I was thinking , 3.73 ?
Want to drive normal around 100 km a hour and About 3000 rpm

This wil be my second suitcase
Got a lot of Miles with united airlines
In Holland they are hard to find, and expensive
So this is for me a Nice find here..

Will be going home end of next week
After that I Will be going to New Hampshire
Usa, have a job there for 7 weeks, so I think that
Summit is going to bring me a lot of Nice stuff
For my New rear end.

Thanks Yoshi, doing my best to have it on the road soon.
But because of work,and traveling it takes longer than I had planned

Hahaha, no Kees, I got one suitcase with old stinking working clothes
And the other one is the rear end.

So,!!! Back in Holland again.
Started with remove the old rear end
And started this week with cutting the 9" to the
Good size, now I am ordering the New parts
So in a couple of weeks I Will have a Nice New
Rear end under my truck..

Installed Some hoses for the steering rack

And When that was finisht, it was time for a cold Heineken
