Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds
Agree nice 67. Interested parties take note of the 68 fenders though - with squarebody Custom Deluxe nameplates. Not a big deal, still a very good price assuming not a bunch of hidden rust.

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds
71 with Holmes 220 elec. wrecker boom. I called and owner said air is cold, everything works except gas gauge, and "rust free". Truck came from Ms. and looks like original seat cover and steering wheel maybe still has some grain on it. Owner sounded very motivated. Asking $7500, has been for sale about 6 months.
Wish I had a place to put it besides in front of my house, the neighbors would not understand. https://lexington.craigslist.org/cto...477737635.html

I went and looked at this one. He say's 'lots of rust' in the ad. I called to ask what he meant and he said since the top of the hood is totally rusty and the rockers and cab corners are toast. I thought it would be worth a look and might be saveable. It would be, except the rust above the windshield. The floors also needed some help. The good...it is a factory big block automatic with a factory tach. Has some cruise control parts installed. The inner grill was good and the outer had some dings. It has a big heavy brush guard on the front. The doors were dented but not rusty. Cab supports were good. Firewall appeared to be in good shape. I told him he would be lucky to get 1200 to 1500.... I took some better pictures if anybody wants them, PM me your email. |

There was the shell of a 57 chevy wagon that he hasn't listed on craigslist yet...but it has been under a roof. There was a GTO that had been sitting out also, but I didn't see it. I think it was in another barn. |

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds
Hata - just look at that SPID, wow, nice truck. Yes, it is worth it. Even if it needs cab corners. It's a C20 Cheyenne Big Block Custom Camper Longhorn with cab lights, tach, manual throttle, and an aux battery - good Lordy that's a nice combo. If it was closer I'd buy it with no tires on it... I think it is worth the asking price. I'd still try to work him down based on the body work required to get it back to "good". You can sometimes find decent toolbox bed cuts that can be shipped fairly inexpensively, but expect to shell out $4-500 for a quality not-too-crusty example. Or you can simply replace it with a non-toolbox patch if you don't want to mess with it.

72 C20 Custom Deluxe Highlander big block $3800
I THINK it's a Custom Camper, can't quite make out the emblems in the pics, but they might be there. Also has aux fuel tank and camper mirrors. Reminds me of 'Ol Whitey.. https://elpaso.craigslist.org/cto/d/...525735867.html |
