Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ** The truck Chevrolet should have built.
Sure enough drew you did crop every pic, only hint i saw was the truck you removed the axle from you didnt document the rear axle at all. You said was pulled the axle and sent it off to be reworked and a possible powdercoating. Knew that was troubling me since you documented everything else so perfectly. All i have to say is well played sir dont think anyboby saw that fast ball coming. Build is really shaping up great Drew two thumbs up for sure!!!

Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ** The truck Chevrolet should have built.
We are at the lake until Monday, but I brought tools and parts so I'm still making progress.
I'd like to post, but my internet is nearly nonexistent. I know I have a lot of explaining to do also, but it will have to wait. Everyone here took a vote and our favourite comment posted after the video was "Bucket of awesome " Posted via Mobile Device

Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ** The truck Chevrolet should have built.
Hey Drew was wondering if I could possibly get the factory spec height of the split for the top molding on paint and possibly the end of the front fender and the rear where it wraps to the taillight molding much appreciated if possible

Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ** The truck Chevrolet should have built.
Take off for a couple days to go to a show, come back 2-1/4 pages later, seats installed, hauling lumber, and quad steer. What's a regular guy have to do to catch a break. Great work as usual Drew, enjoy the tour and bring it back in one piece.....Jim

Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ** The truck Chevrolet should have built.
Does anyone remember this picture from a few days ago???
Funny how my knee got in the way of the 4 wheel steer button. Some action shots in the front yard at the lake.

Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ** The truck Chevrolet should have built.
Hmmm...I wonder what kind of donuts you could pull off with quadrasteer on wet grass?
So, what else are you hiding from us? Turbo, Supercharger, AWD, NOS?

Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ** The truck Chevrolet should have built.
Yeah, I was laughing back then when everyone had their theory on my dirt-bag axle guy hosing me for 4 months or longer on fixing my axle. The real deal was that he was narrowing it 5 inches because all Quadsteer trucks and axles are 5 inches wider to clear the leaf springs when it turns. Now we see why I built a whole new rear suspension with a 4 link and panhard rod. Even then though the 4 link is supposed to be mounted where the leaf spring would reside- More engineering on my part to tuck the 4 link in line with the frame rails. It wasn't easy, I can tell you that much!

A few pics in front of the hardware store in the video.
And the front yard. All at ride height.
