Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ** The truck Chevrolet should have built.

My son and I met up with Drew and Biz at Old Town in Kissimmee tonight. There was supposed to be a cruise, but there were only 10 or 12 cars there, so I guess they figured they would just skip the cruise. Had a great time talking and seeing Frankie.

Drew's truck was certainly the most eye catching one there. You can see people look at it and think "Did they make crew cabs back then?"

Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ** The truck Chevrolet should have built.

I stumbled across this build through a google image search and I'm glad I did! A bit late on the uptake I know but you've done an amazing job, very inspirational! Proof that get back what you give. I don't often come across fellow Christians into cool stuff like this across this side of the world
I'm keen to see how the bride project progresses!

Sorry I don't get to post here often - I'm over on the Alternate Tinkerings area posting about our Buick Roadmaster with Jaguar suspension. Come check us out over there for your "extreme" fix.

Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ** The truck Chevrolet should have built.

I found a couple of pics of my 1947 CJ 2A I built about 20 years ago and thought I would post them here just for fun. It was my first "hybrid" - a 47 CJ 2A front clip mated to a 1980 CJ 5 tub and chassis. It had a 304 V8 and 4 speed combo and was smokin fast. I had to remake the flat fenders 4 inches longer and get 2 hoods and extend the hood 4 inches also by welding them together. The firewall was also a bear since it was so much narrower, I had to move the pedals over some and relocate the fuse block to the inside of the steering column. Overall it was pretty easy though and looked awesome.

I already did that!!! My homebuilding business "bought" me a company truck and I wrote a check to myself from my business to buy it (labor included in the price of course).

Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ** The truck Chevrolet should have built.

Nope! too busy with the latest project, a 1957 Buick Roadmaster.

Currently looks like this. I have a build blog going on the alternate tinkerings forum here.
