Sounds like my stepper . Said I was just going to replace the wood bed after it was apart "might as well paint the bedsides " and here I am 3 years later buttoning it up .

Finished up the metal work . Had to replace a few of the nuts as they looked like they had been crossed at one point .

Thanks I’m still wrestling with this welder . It’s a Hobart 210 and didn’t come with the feed wheel for .024 wire . I ordered one today we’ll see how it works out .

The drive wheel doesnt have more than one groove for different size wire?

It has .030/.035 solid wire grooves and a groove for .035 flux core . Nothing for .024

Re: What did you do to your truck today. The 3rd chapter

I vowed to do something everyday on it even if it’s small . My wife thinks I’m crazy when she saw me doing body work on the finger guard . But it was heavily pitted . Easier than 5 coats of high build primer probably cheaper too

That's going to be the most premium low-optioned step side on the planet!

I'm digging the work!

Lubed up the right window regulator (it was hard to roll down), helped a friend with his El Camino speedometer.

Re: What did you do to your truck today. The 3rd chapter

Took the grill apart today don’t think I can salvage the fog lights took the rings off and the housings are rotted. But everything came apart without braking clips or bolts . Never had molding clip nuts just come off the turn signals the same just a little PB and they came right off . Was going to buy a new grill emblem then thought it’s nice enough to rechrome but it cleaned up nice . Any suggestions as to the color red I should use to repaint it ?

That's the sweetest finger guard I've ever seen. I would be popping my hood just to show complete strangers a finger guard like that, if I had one.
