Re: What did you do to your truck today? Chapter II

Cab is gone to body shop and now it's time to put my box together. I have a 8' fleet side box and decided to get new box sides as when I bought the truck it came with new box front, new inner wheel wells, new tailgate and new wood floor along with SS strips. Everything is in black primer and I'm wondering what to use to seal it properly to prevent future corrosion. Also does anyone know what I will need for fasteners to accomplish this.
Cheers!

thanks...just taking my time and grinding away. Still lots to be done; remove black dash pad and replace w/the right color, remove (and reinstall) AM radio and send out for R and R, put rear bumper back on, sand/buff/wax inner bedsides, glue door skins back on to the metal door panels, and drive 1200 miles from OK to Los Angeles to pick up Ledzepps' factory color matching take off tailgate.

Did I leave anything out?

New plug wires and dropped the primary and secondary jets two sizes. Almost got her tuned just right.

Hey 73737373, is that your permanent plate or is that just for show on your bumper there? If so how did you get it registered with the original plate?

Thanks,
Charles.

Slowly getting there --got my anniversary seat back. Was able to keep the original inserts but the rest was too tough to work with/rotted/dried out. Finished product turned out good though. I'm sure it will dirty up just fine..... Sure is comfortable though... And the correct sittin' height sure makes a difference!

Re: What did you do to your truck today? Chapter II

I didn't really do anything to my truck but made contact with the original owners son who got the truck from his Dad in 2000/2001. Found out the truck was dealer stock and Dad didn't like the green plaid seat cover so bought a seat cover right away to cover it.

Never heard of this before, thanks! Better than Coke, no sugar.

This was getting messy, and scary....

Much better, and new rubber brake lines too.

Pulled the cab and doors off the chassis and set it on a dolly I made. Then transported it to paint jail.
