Re: What did you do with your truck today, Part 3
Got some bondo work on the rear fenders done, WHOOO HOOO! A little on the hood again. I'll tell you, this old dude is tired of sliding under that front crossmember into the engine compartment to work on this, wow, that is not as easy as it was when I was a youngster!

Re: What did you do with your truck today, Part 3
The upholsterer is way past due with my seats so I called him. He says he hurt his back and hasn't done them and it may be a couple more weeks. I seldom do car shows but had planned to accompany a friend to a show this weekend. Looks like I won't make it :-(

Re: What did you do with your truck today, Part 3
Yep, I had a hard time selling her that is for sure! Whenever I have sold a car it was always because I WANTED to, that was not the case with Marge, she was a favorite of mine for sure. But I do feel more "at peace" as I am moving and that removes a bunch of weight off my back. And the guy who bought her is a super nice guy, a pro musician and just a super nice guy who knew how to drive a three on the tree, he was the right guy for sure.

Re: What did you do with your truck today, Part 3
You should go get your seats and tell him to call you when he's ready or take them somewhere else. We only get so many months of good driving weather here.

It's my 65 Buick Gran Sport that I have had since 1986, I couldn't afford to buy it today! I took my wife out on our first date in it 31 years ago this month. I used to put slicks on it and uncap the headers and drive it 7 miles to Fremont Drag Strip (when it existed) I have lots of memories driving it every day. It's been sitting in my garage for the past 10 years and now it will be a DD again. This photo is outside the Tesla Plant in Fremont where it was born 54 years ago Jan 1965 when it was the GM plant. Re: What did you do with your truck today, Part 3
Ok, got my vintage key cut for the Buick now that it's my daily driver. And I spent some time on the hood just still eye balling and getting my act straight before I start cutting it more and welding it. I am getting pretty comfortable that I am on the right track.

I took the '58 to the Cops & Rodders car show and came home with a little hardware. Top 21 (participant voting) and Norm's Pick which was made by the folks at Norm's Tire, the shows hosts...
