Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Just got back from mexico for a week and missed the old girl so took her for a cruise and went to help my buddy push in his 2nd Gen 55 Chev truck to get started on his build, going to be low and lots of patina, oh ya another small block to build. A great day, but back to work again tomorrow.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Hopefully today is the start of progress on my '67 swb stepper.
I finally had the time and energy to work in the garage. I have been pretty well under the weather so to speak for the last 3 months with one bothersome, but not serious illness or other. I got the garage straightened out enough so I could work on the truck, actually it is rolling chassis with a '67 cab on it. I started cleaning the front engine cradle. The way I look at it any progress is better than no progress, lol.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Finally got the '70 running smooth.
Pulled the intake manifold, and found the gaskets were dry rotted. Good thing I got this taken care of, since the coolant passage areas were beginning to leak into the lifter valley.

I just ordered the radio from retro sound and the kick plate speakers and supports from vintage radio. Cross my fingers and I will let you know how it goes.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Took out heater box where motor is. Painted the side that fits on the fire wall with Por15Put new seals on, found squirral cage had a couple blades broke and the rest chewed up so going to order a new one. I do have a new VDO motor to go back in. Other motor works fine, just a upgrade while I'm there. Will paint the outside also. Has new heater core.

I welded in my PorterBuilt A/C delete panels. They still need some massaging, but they are on there!

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Just got my newly painted front fender on even though it doesn't match its better than the old blue it was. Also left the dents in it on purpose to keep it looking like an old truck until i get the money to fix it right.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Thanks 67Cheby!! Yea thats my grandpas 68. When he passed he left it to my dad and me. Its all original except for a 283 in place of the inline 6 from the factory. He bought it brand new in 68 and when he drove it off the showroom floor he took it over to some place that did undercoating back then and it has zero rot anywhere. Im trying to get mine back on the road so i can get started on it so it stays that way. Mines been down going on 7 years since it seems that life and money always seem to find there way into the mix.
