Not a truck but someone with a 67 short bed might find these useful:

The green 67 looks very similar to my 72 gmc. I like it.

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds
Its GMC day! 71 4x4 455 four speed $3500! This old girl ain't afraid of work.
https://seattle.craigslist.org/skc/c...367768654.html Very strong 455 Pontiac engine. Power steering, power brakes, front disk. Paint poor, glass good, minor chev rust in door sills. No radio. Strong powerful engine, 8 ft bed. Needs plenty of minor TLC has been my ranch truck lately. Have extra worn 35 tires and wheels.

72 C20 Custom Deluxe Highlander Custom Camper. $10.9K
This truck could pretty easily be brought back to bone stock - and it was originally a VERY nice truck, check out that SPID. Still nice now, but I'm just picturing it at birth - great combo, good options. https://phoenix.craigslist.org/nph/c...361410377.html

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds
Look like stock sport mirrors to me - so, yes, I'll go out on a limb and say OEM. Or at least aftermarket repros. But, not original to the truck - it would have likely had DG4 below eyelines, unless camper mirrors were ordered.

SPID says DF2 camper mirrors.

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds
Obviously, not original to the truck. Would seem odd to have sport mirrors with camper wiring. Were DF2 camper mirrors different than the below eyeline tripod mirrors? The kind that bolt to top of window frame?

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds
DF2 are the big ones that have a cross bar that bolts above the upper belt molding with two large support legs that attach just above the lower belt molding line - and rotate out/flip up to be able to see around the big campers. The ones that attach to the upper door frame are West Coast or west coast jr.

Barring any rust: there are positives that cost you money if you were going to buy a truck without them. I would alwasy look for rust issues or bad patch jobs. It already has AC ($1K +) It is black which seems to sell quicker for more money on a regular basis than other colors (don't hate my statement I am just saying) It is black which is way harder to keep nice and way easier to see flaws if there are any when clean Already has a serpentine system ($$$) and includes billet accy's PS, PB - which costs if you want it and don't have it Hacked up dash for a double din radio - that is a personal preference thing but this may tell you that there are other hacks. It is a GMC - to me that helps as it is rarer. To some it is less valuable. Anyway, it is opinions. In the end, what you want is what matters unless you are only buying it because other people like it I looked specifically for some of those things when I bought my 68. Some items have more value to me so when I compared it was easy to decide. |
