1. Make your first priority buying a decent digital camera. It doesn’t need to be expensive or fancy. Then take pictures of “everything”. Upload the pictures to a computer and back them up on a usb pen, CD, or whatever. Take photos of exactly how it looks as purchased, and as you disassemble every piece. The pics are invaluably helpful when it comes to reassembly, and is generally what people miss the most after they’ve owned the rig for 20 years and never took any pictures of what it looked like when they started out.

2. Write down a plan of what you want the truck to look like when finished, and fundamental steps to get there. It can be expensive and discouraging when you get started on impulse thinking, and realize later something has to be done over or changed completely.

Good luck.
Thanks for the tips. I'll have to get me a camera next time I get some money, right now I'm using my mom's. lol
My dad and I already have a few ideas written down but haven't drawn anything up yet. I'm gonna clean up the inside and bed tonight and take some more pics while I'm at it so I'll post more pics later this afternoon.

Thanks again for the tips, I need all the help I can get right now.

I started my own thread for my build. Not much is done but there's more pics of the truck and work I've already started on.

I was wondering how your truck was coming along. Beautiful color.

Vintage Car Dealership Photos

Hey, the Hover Motor Company website just posted about 120 photos of old car dealerships, mostly early to mid sixties. Lots of our old trucks in the dealers back rows. Check it out!
