wheels are american racing torq-lites 17x7 255/60/17 and 17x8 275/60/17 toyo proxes s/t. the drop is 5/6..was a 4/6 with a aluminum headed sbc and i put a iron headed 454 in and the springs settled 2 freaking inches!!! I got new spindles and springs to put in but ride height will be the same.

Those are the "sport" mirrors. They were more common on the earlier square bodies.

New guy here. Just picked up this 86

This is how it was when I first bought it

and this is it with the new rims. BOSS 335's with 255/45R20 tire.

Next up is lowering. How low of a static drop can I go with that tire?

Depends on whether you thought about the offset on your wheels before you bought them. With the right offset, you could set the frame on the ground and not touch the tire.

They tuck way inside. I'll actually need a spacer front and rear. The BOSS 335's only come in one offest.

Its a 4"/6" with BFG 265/50/15 on 8.5' old school Enkie that have been on the truck since it was basically new. Bell tech spindles on front and flipped the rear axle.
