Re: Project 7deuce
Just checked in again, I like how you cut out the inside piece of your bed to fix dent on the outside of bed, your build is coming together nice.

Nice looking project and I noticed we are nearly neighbors.

Re: Project 7deuce
Back from the dead.... I finally got the fuel tank installed I raised it almost 2 inches so I cannot be seen from behind the truck. I really think it takes away from the look of a nice truck when you see a big tank hanging below the roll pan.. I used silver on top of the tank to match the air tank and semi satin black on the bottom so it would help the tank disappear... I also shot a coat of semi satin black on the frame rails and the multi color rails were bugging me.. All the bolts are new and replaced with stainless where the load is not great other wise they are grade 5 and 8.. I finally got around to getting the new trailing arm bushings pressed in along with a my new carrier bearing.. The trailing arm bushings I did myself and were a pain in the ass I paid a shop to install the carrier bearing never again will I go back they were retards... I also got my wiring ran back to the rear of the truck and they are all tidied up in made for you clamps and some sweet mesh type loom and it pretty sweet.. Ill try to get the rest of the build updated but please keep in mind that some of the pics my be out of order...

Nice work on the fuel tank,,,look'in good! I really like that fuel filter, I've been running one on my V8 Cherokee for seven years now with no problem (haven't even had to change the filter yet).

Re: Project 7deuce
Here's a few pics of the curly maple I got from work.. Its hand picked and its super wide which is hard to find.. I plan on running stainless runners and just sealing the wood with clean to let the grain shine.. The wood is super cool looking with grain running the length of the board and also across the board..

Is it in a ruff cut stage now? If so, are you going to plane it or leave in ruff....Jim

Re: Project 7deuce
When those picures were taken it was in rough cut form.. It has since been ran through a time saver sander at work and squared up... Its beautiful wood for sure.
