Re: "One really slow build" thread

Update Alert !!!

I will be putting Sinister back on the road since I wrecked my 77

To do this I have to do the following: Put the engine & trans out of the 77 in, put the wheels & tires off the 77 on, put the bags back in the rear, put the tach back in, get the front end aligned, & get it inspected again

Tomorrow I will be doing the engine swap, & if everything goes to plan I will have the new engine in it by the end of the day

Pictures coming soon !!!

Re: "One really slow build" thread

Well I didnt get it fired up today, but I did make quite a bit of progress

Got the engine in & the carb hooked up, had a the power steering hooked up but decide to go with serpentine instead

So I spent quite a while figuring out how to make the serp set up look good, but in the end It will be worth it... All I have left for that part is to make a tensioning rod for the alt.

And I had to mod my trans X-member, as it was too high for the 700R4
Also put on some other stock valve covers that were black instead of the silver ones

Still need to swap out the drive shaft, get a longer speedo cable, hook up the fuel line, bolt the X-member in, other lil things

busted off header bolt

Re: "One really slow build" thread

Well I didnt get much done today

I got the power steering pump mounted & hooked up
And I started putting my headers on, but they wont fit this truck
So I played with some lil things to get it going that arent really worth listing lol

So heres some more pics

Thats at full dump with no notch & the shocks are bottomed out up front

Re: "One really slow build" thread

Well its going to be a lil bit before its running again, as I am trying to figure out what to do for headers

But I will be getting all the other stuff done, so that I can be ready for when I do figure it out

I got my belt for my serp setup yesterday, its 57 1/2" long
Now I gotta figure out a tensioner rod of some sort, for the alty
